Volunteering at CRIT

The goal of a CRIT volunteer is to help ensure that every patient and their family feel supported and valued.

The volunteering program is the heart of our organization

Our patients have amazing stories of progress thanks to the doctors, therapists, social workers, and counselors who make CRIT a magical place. But none of this would be possible without our team of volunteers.

Every volunteer makes an authentic CRIT experience possible and enjoys giving back in exchange for learning, community service hours, and above all, the satisfaction that comes from helping.

Areas where you can help

  1. Interpretation services

For Spanish-speaking patients, therapists, and doctors. Many of the people who come to CRIT speak Spanish, so this support helps tremendously to ensure that all parties can communicate effectively.

  2. Special events

Assisting with events that create memorable experiences for patients and their families: art classes, Christmas or Mother's Day events, and classes for the First Communion ceremony.

  3. Fundraising

Support at CRIT's major fundraising events: the annual gala, the golf tournament, the fashion show, and the TeletonUSA event.

  4. Heroes for CRIT

A street fundraising program where volunteers collect donations in person for the cause. For more information or to sign up, write to heroes@critusa.org or boteo@critusa.org.

  5. Family support

Accompanying each patient and their family during their time at our facilities so they feel valued and at ease.

  6. Buddy program

Pairing with a patient as a mentor to participate in activities and attend events together. For information, contact buddyprogram@critusa.org
